There are worse things I could do- Grease lyrics

There are worse things I could do,
Than go with a boy or two.
Even though the neighborhood thinks I'm trashy,
And no good,
I suppose it could be true,
But there are worse things I could do.

I could flirt with all the guys,
Smile at them and bat my eyes.
Press against them when we dance,
Make them think they stand a chance,
Then refuse to see it through.
That's a thing I'd never do.

I could stay home every night,
Wait around for Mr. Right.
Take cold showers every day,
And throw my life away,
On a dream that won't come true.

I could hurt someone like me,
Out of spite or jealousy.
I dont steal and I dont lie,
But I can feel and I can cry.
A fact I'll bet you never knew.
But to cry in front of you,
That's the worse thing I could do.

Between the Raindrops with you- Lifehouse Lyrics

Look around
There's no one but you and me
Right here and now
The way it was meant to be
There's a smile on my face
Knowing that together everything that's in our way
We're better than alright

Walking between the raindrops
Riding the aftershock beside you
Off into the sunset
Living like there's nothing left to lose
Chasing after gold mines
Crossing the fine lines we knew
Hold on and take a breath
I'll be here every step
Walking between the raindrops with you

Take me now
The world's such a crazy place
When the walls come down
You'll know I'm here to stay
There's nothing I would change
Knowing that together everything that's in our way
We're better than alright

Walking between the raindrops
Riding the aftershock beside you
Off into the sunset
Living like there's nothing left to lose
Chasing after gold mines
Crossing the fine lines we knew
Hold on and take a breath
I'll be here every step
Walking between the raindrops with you

There's a smile on my face
Knowing that together everything that's in our way
We're better than alright

Walking between the raindrops
Riding the aftershock beside you
Off into the sunset
Living like there's nothing left to lose
Chasing after gold mines
Crossing the fine lines we knew
Hold on and take a breath
I'll be here every step
Walking between the raindrops with you
Between the raindrops with you
Between the raindrops with you

Between the raindrops with you

Someday We'll know- New Radicals

90 miles outside Chicago
Can't stop driving
I don't know why
So many questions
I need an answer
Two years later
You're still on my mind

Whatever happened to Amelia Earhart?
Who holds the stars up in the sky?
Is true love just once in a lifetime?
Did the captain of the Titanic cry?

Someday we'll know if love can move a mountain
Someday we'll know why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know why I wasn't meant for you
Does anybody know the way to Atlantis
Or what the wind says when she cries?
I'm speeding by the place that I met you
For the 97th time tonight

Someday we'll know if love can move a mountain
Someday we'll know why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know why I wasn't meant for you
Someday we'll know why Samson loved Delilah
One day I'll go dancing on the moon
Someday you'll know that I was the one for you

I bought a ticket to the end of the rainbow
I watched the stars crash in the sea
If I could ask God just one question
Why aren't you here with me tonight?

Someday we'll know if love can move a mountain
Someday we'll know why the sky is blue
Someday we'll know why I wasn't meant for you
Someday we'll know why Samson loved Delilah
One day I'll go dancing on the moon
Someday you'll know that I was the One for you

Almost out of the sky- Pablo Neruda

Almost out of the sky, the half moon
drops anchor between two mountains.
Spinning, wandering night, excavator of eyes.
Let's see how many shattered stars are in the pool.

She makes a cross of mourning on my brow, and flees.
She forges nights of silent struggle from blue metals;
my heart spins like a flywheel out of control.
Girl from so far away, sent from so far away,
her glance sometimes flashes beneath the sky.
Grumbler, tempest, raging maelstrom,
walk across my heart without stopping.
Wind from the tombs carries off, shatters, scatters your drowsy root.
It uproots great trees on the other side of it.
Except for you, fair maiden, misty question, tall flower.
It was she who was fashioning the wind with illuminated leaves.
Behind the mountains of the night, white fire-lily,
ah, I can't say! She was made of everything.

Stabs of longing, you have cut open my breast;
it is time to follow another path, on which she doesn’t smile.
Tempest that buried the bells, confused commotion of storms,
why touch her now, why sadden her.

Oh, to follow the path that leads away from everything,
where anguish, death, winter do not lie in ambush,
peering out amidst the dew.

Under the Oak- D.H. Lawrence

YOU, if you were sensible,
When I tell you the stars flash signals, each one dreadful,
You would not turn and answer me
“The night is wonderful.”

Even you, if you knew
How this darkness soaks me through and through, and infuses
Unholy fear in my vapour, you would pause to distinguish
What hurts, from what amuses.

For I tell you
Beneath this powerful tree, my whole soul’s fluid
Oozes away from me as a sacrifice steam
At the knife of a Druid.

Again I tell you, I bleed, I am bound with withies,
My life runs out.
I tell you my blood runs out on the floor of this oak,
Gout upon gout.

Above me springs the blood-born mistletoe
In the shady smoke.
But who are you, twittering to and fro
Beneath the oak?

What thing better are you, what worse?
What have you to do with the mysteries
Of this ancient place, of my ancient curse?
What place have you in my histories?

Led Zeppelin- Stairway to heaven lyrics

There's a lady who's sure
All that glitters is gold
And she's buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she knows
If the stores are all closed
With a word she can get what she came for.
Ooh ooh and she's buying a stairway to heaven.
There's a sign on the wall
But she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.
In a tree by the brook
There's a songbird who sings,
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it makes me wonder.
There's a feeling I get
When I look to the west,
And my spirit is crying for leaving.
In my thoughts I have seen
Rings of smoke through the trees,
And the voices of those who standing looking.
Ooh, it makes me wonder,
Ooh, it really makes me wonder.
And it's whispered that soon, If we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason.
And a new day will dawn
For those who stand long
And the forests will echo with laughter.
If there's a bustle in your hedgerow,
Don't be alarmed now,
It's just a spring clean for the May queen.
Yes, there are two paths you can go by
But in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on.
And it makes me wonder.
Your head is humming and it won't go
In case you don't know,
The piper's calling you to join him,
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow,
And did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind.
And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul.
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How ev'rything still turns to gold.
And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last.
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll.
And she's buying a stairway to heaven.

Let your heart hold fast- Fort Atlantic Lyrics

All my days are spent.
All my cards are dealt.
Oh, the desolation grows.
Every inch revealed,
As my heart is pierced.
Oh, my soul is now exposed.

In the oceans deep;
In the canyons steep,
Walls of granite here I stand.
All my desperate calls
Echo off the walls
Back and forth; then back again.

To believe I walk alone
Is a lie that I've been told?

So let your heart hold fast
For this soon shall pass,
Like the high tide takes the sand.

Oh, oh, oh, oh!
Oh, oh, oh, oh!
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh!

Oh, oh, oh, oh!
Oh, oh, oh, oh!
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh!

At the bitter end,
Salt and liquid blend
From the corner of my eyes.
All the miles wrecked,
Every broken step,
Always searching, always blind.

Never fear! No! Never fear!
Never fear! No! Never fear!

So let your heart hold fast
For this soon shall pass.
There's another hill ahead.

And I wont wait tonight

And I wont wait tonight… for you to hold me tight….
Untold stories of all the sleepless nights, like stars in a cloudy sky….
Filled with tears but you only see them as the twinkle in my eye….
Hour after hour, in the dwindling light….
Hope fades away, no more dreams of false delight…
And I won’t wait for you tonight because my souls burning bright
Like the flames of a dying candle trying with all its might….

And I ll smile when you expect me to cry…..
And when you are lost in the darkness of this night…
My soul burns again bringing you the sweetest light….
But I wont wait tonight… With all my desires and wishes, I ll remain quiet…

On the railway station on Christmas eve

On the railway station on Christmas eve….
Watching travelers with joy and merriment they leave…
Hearts full of cheer closing in on their destiny…
Taken aback by raining memories….
Wondering where I fit into the divine medley…
Standing cold a part of me dies in degrees…
The part that wishes it was me…..
The part that was deceived… The part of me that still grieves…
On the railway station on Christmas eve….
And this year all I need is a reason to believe…

What I am and what I want to be….
From million miles away I hear my heart’s symphony….
Drawn to this road on Christmas eve….
My destination lies on the way, maybe…
Whats holding me back? I want to be ghost free…
The roads calling me again but I need to know where it leads…
They don’t understand…. But a part of me still bleeds…
On the railway station on Christmas eve..
And this year all I need is a reason to believe…..
